Social Contributions Through Business ActivitiesSocial Contributions Through Business Activities

We develop and operate business activities that support the active participation of diverse talent.

  • 8 Decent work and economic growth
  • 10 Reduced inequalities

As declining birthrates, an aging population, and increasingly diverse workstyles continue to reshape society, there remain many people who have limited access to employment opportunities or places where they can fully apply their abilities. Work is not only a means of livelihood, but also an important opportunity to engage with society and make use of one’s experience and capabilities.
Through its business activities, the Group addresses these social challenges by creating environments in which people with limited employment options—including persons with disabilities, senior citizens, single parents, and individuals without prior experience—can continue working with peace of mind through its proprietary business schemes.
By developing and expanding a diverse range of businesses, we are creating environments in which individuals with diverse backgrounds can demonstrate their respective strengths and thrive, while contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

As the statutory employment rate for people with disabilities rises, companies are expected not only to secure the required number of employees, but also to design jobs and roles that match each individual’s characteristics and create environments where they can thrive over the long term. In practice, however, many companies face challenges in job design and workplace readiness, leading to mismatches and difficulties with retention. Through its rental farm service for companies, Work Happiness Farms, S-Pool Plus, Inc. provides workplaces where people with disabilities can work with peace of mind and a sense of purpose. Today, more than 5,200 people are working at these farms, which have achieved a retention rate of 92%.

As the Japanese government advances various regional revitalization initiatives, job creation in regional communities has become an increasingly important issue, particularly as limited local employment opportunities can contribute to population outflows.
S-Pool Link, Inc. and S-Pool Glocal, Inc. operate BPO centers mainly in regional cities with populations of 100,000 or fewer, while also working to collaborate with local governments. By establishing centers in areas where clerical job opportunities are limited and actively hiring local talent, the companies are creating new employment opportunities in these communities.
